Classes in English

Confirmation Registration
Religious Ed (Sacrament Prep)

About our Religious Education classes for Confirmation:

Our religious education classes generally begin in September and end in April. Confirmation preparation for children who have already been baptized and received their First Communion begins in Grade 7 with First Year Confirmation Prep. At the end of their second year of Confirmation classes, 8th grade students will be confirmed at a date to be set by the Bishop, usually in the spring.

If your child is middle or high school age and needs Baptism and/or First Communion as well as Confirmation, they will begin classes with their age level for the First Year of Preparation, and at the end of their second year of instruction, they will receive all missing Sacraments of Initiation. Please contact our office for more information.

Formation for students in high school also begins with a First Year of Preparation, with the students being confirmed at the end of their second year of instruction. Confirmation for high school students will take place in the parish at a date set by the Pastor.

All our Religious Education Classes meet on Wednesday evenings from 6 PM – 7:15 PM in classrooms either at St. Joseph’s Parish office or the school. Registration for fall classes starts in April or May.

For Adults or students (over the age of 18 and/or seniors in High School) who need the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism and/or Confirmation and/or First Communion) we offer OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) classes on Monday evenings. Please contact the Parish Office for more information about adult OCIA classes.
